EE promised three Big improvements for customers making the swap out of 4G into 5G

EE will change on its 5G support in six UK cities on 30 May, the first cellular network in the UK to achieve that.

Huawei’s role

There have been issues raised regarding the role played by Chinese company Huawei, which provides network supplies to the UK’s mobile operators because of their roll-out of 5G, after the US decision to curtail its capacity to conduct business in the us.

Mr Allera told  TNT that EE does now use Huawei’s gear, though it’s in the practice of eliminating it in the heart of its own 4G network.
