Tesla CEO Elon Musk acknowledged Friday that the company was ‘embarrassingly late’ rolling out a security layer known as two-factor authentication for its mobile app.
“Sorry, this is embarrassingly late. Two factor authentication through sms or authenticator program is going through final validation at this time,” Musk composed Friday in reaction to a query from a Twitter follower.
Musk said in April the extra security layer has been”coming soon.” He mentioned that the corporation might add two-factor authentication back May 2019. Tesla owners have stepped up their calls for two-factor authentication since the remainder of the technology community has embraced the safety attribute.
