Why Is My Network Security Key Not Working?

There may be a time when you have noticed your network authentication key not working. Typically, it may accept your password but won’t share the internet.

What’s the cause behind it not working? A few issues may be causing the problem.

  • May be device incompatibility causing this issue. It can be possible that the router that you have brought may be incompatible with your laptop or phone hardware specs. Updating your software may help you resolve this issue.
  • Another reason may involve your router getting crashed, significantly causing this issue again and again. A flashing or unusual light on the router would spam the crash. Either switch it off and on again or renew your router as soon as possible.
  • The last constraint could be that you are entering the wrong password unknowingly. You get a network security key mismatch error because you’ve entered the wrong password. Remember it properly and type the same to avoid getting errors.

Final Thought

It is important to keep your network secured. A password or network security key is the best protection to keep your network safe and effective in use.

Here’s what else you can do to strengthen your network’s security:

👉 Change default passwords
👉 Create a separate guest network
👉 Set up a virtual private network

All these tactics ensure safety and security to your network that you use in your home.
