The Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony will be the first Olympic Games Opening Ceremony held outside a stadium.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, 26 July 2024, starting at 19:30 CEST and lasting over three hours.
Athletes will parade in boats along the Seine, showcasing iconic Parisian landmarks.
The parade will start at the Austerlitz Bridge and travel 6 kilometers west, passing Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower.
Approximately 10,500 athletes on nearly 100 boats will participate, with larger National Olympic Committees having their own boats.
Teams will showcase stylish uniforms, with luxury brands designing outfits for countries like the USA, Italy, and France.
600,000 people will watch the ceremony in person, with 222,000 free tickets for upper banks of the Seine and 104,000 paid tickets for lower quays.
