Born in Brooklyn in 1939, New York, Sorvino appeared in a long list of movies which includes "Nixon," "Dick Tracy," "Reds," and "The Rocketeer."
Sorvino started his career in 1970 with a comedy movie "Where's Poppa," followed by "The Panic in Needle Park,"
Sorvino also received a Tony nomination for his role in “That Championship Season”
Sorvino and his wife also co-wrote the book "Pinot, Pasta, and Parties."
Sorvino is survived by his third wife Dee Dee. He had 3 children with his first wife followed by 5 grandchildrens.
Sorvino was a part of more than 50 films, and many TV shows. He played his final two roles in 2019, as a corrupt politician and as a Luciano crime boss.
